Our internship programme is designed for international medical students and young professionals who want meaningful exposure to healthcare, public health and professional life in the United Kingdom.
Public health internships can provide the opportunity to work with international communities and gain real-world experience. Depending on the placement, activities may include exposure to outpatient care, observation of healthcare services, assisting with appropriate projects, market research, health promotion or education relating to the prevention of illness and disease.
An internship can also provide the opportunity to live and work in a major UK city such as Manchester or Liverpool, both of which offer diverse cultural, social and professional environments.
For students and young professionals whose first language is not English, UK experience can be particularly valuable for developing confidence in medical and professional English communication. Observational or educational placements do not automatically confer
permission to practise medicine in the UK.
