Aesthetic medicine is first and foremost medicine. It requires an understanding of anatomy, ageing, skin health, facial structure and, most importantly, the individual sitting in front of the doctor.
At Locumdoctor4u, aesthetic medicine is approached from a physician's perspective rather than as a beauty treatment. The consultation comes before the treatment, and medical judgement comes before commercial considerations.
The aim is to achieve an appropriate, proportionate and natural result while avoiding unnecessary or excessive intervention.
A medical approach to appearance
Dr Edoardo Cervoni combines extensive general medical experience with a background in ENT and head and neck medicine. This provides a detailed understanding of facial anatomy, structure and function, together with the broader perspective of a practising physician.
The face should not be considered as a collection of isolated cosmetic areas. Changes in one area can affect the balance and perception of another. A proper assessment therefore considers the face as a whole.
Assessment before intervention.
Every person has different anatomy, expectations and priorities. A medical consultation allows these factors to be considered before treatment is proposed.
Sometimes the appropriate recommendation is treatment. Sometimes it is a different approach. Occasionally, the best medical advice is to do nothing.
What we consider
Facial ageing
Changes associated with ageing, including facial lines, loss of definition and changes in facial proportion.
Facial balance
The relationship between different facial features, rather than treating individual areas in isolation.
Skin and appearance
Skin health, texture, pigmentation and other factors that contribute to overall appearance.
Individual treatment planning
Where intervention is appropriate, recommendations are tailored to the individual rather than a standardised package.
Our principles
- Medical first: aesthetic treatment should meet appropriate medical and professional standards.
- Natural results: the objective is enhancement rather than an obviously treated appearance.
- Individual care: there is no universal treatment plan.
- Proportion: individual features should be considered in the context of the whole face.
- Informed choice: benefits, limitations and risks should be understood before treatment.
- Knowing when not to treat: intervention is not automatically the appropriate answer.

Aesthetic Medicine for Men →
A discreet, medically informed approach to facial ageing and appearance in male patients.
A discreet professional service
Aesthetic treatment can be a highly personal decision. Consultations are therefore conducted with the same confidentiality, professionalism and respect expected from any medical consultation.
There is no pressure to proceed with treatment and no requirement to purchase a package or course of treatment. The purpose of the consultation is to help you make an informed decision.
Our approach is deliberately conservative. Where another medical speciality, surgical opinion or different treatment approach would be more appropriate, this will be discussed openly.
